Christine loved her job as general manager of a large department store. She also loved her privacy. Something happened that made her choose between her personal beliefs and her job. She chose her personal beliefs, calling herself "A Concerned Citizen". For years Christine wanted to start her own company. Now, she thought, was a good time to do it. Christine also tried to help her niece and nephew, who were orphaned when their parents were killed in a car accident. Her much-appreciated privacy was disappearing. At the same time, she was falling in love with a wealthy lumber baron, Mitchell Saint Saens I. When Christine's apartment was broken into and vandalized, Mitchell suggested that she move in with him and his grandchildren. She felt like she was suffocating. Christine started spending every day at the construction site of her new lodge, which she planned to run herself. Each guest of her lodge would have a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean. When the head of the construction crew arrived one morning, he discovered someone had tried to burn down the lodge. A week later the guard Christine hired confronted a man who was circling her lodge. When the guard approached the car, he sped away. Christine and Mitchell came to the conclusion that the vandalism of her apartment and attacks on her lodge were tied to the same person. Christine's ex-boss was out for revenge!
