The debut novel by Lou Rasmus, this semi-autobiographical work is a coming to age story about a young man, Lou, as he sets out on a road trip from Massachusetts to Florida with his two hometown friends, Jerry and Mazz. In search of The Great Spring Break, the three friends embark on a frenzied, drug-and-alcohol-fueled journey down the east coast, meeting old friends along the way and finding themselves in trouble more often than not. All the while, introspective Lou finds himself looking for more than just a drive to the beach. As the days wear on and the three young men find themselves closer to the end of the road, Lou grapples with feelings of love, happiness, and the meaning of life altogether.
