In the aftermath of WW1 Great Britain needed to discover the situation in the nations around the Baltic Sea. Fleets of battleships were of no use, so enterprising officers took brave men on hazardous missions to discover the situation in the turbulent region. Charles Keating led a party of six men to establish a base where their Coastal Motor Boats could use their speed to penetrate the area that was torn by revolution under the cover of darkness. Apart from the information that was of great value to his country, he gained greater benefits on a personal level.
