In days of old...kings and their noblemen ruled with total control. The intricate structure of nobility ensured that no peasant uprisings would challenge their power. Through the divinely approved mechanism of succession the lords would dominate the lower classes of so-called humans, subjugating them with ownership of land, controlling the means of production, indentured servitude, arbitrary fees and of course retaining overwhelming military force. Some things never change. Today's corporate executives and hierarchical organizations duplicate the age old structure of nobility. Down through time, the powerful have arranged the world to suit their desires. The good old boy networks of trust, family, fortune and favor continue to lock control in the hands of the few. Only an Idiot would dare challenge such a system... An Idiot's Tale tells the story of an epic fall from grace and the journey for redemption of our protagonist, the Idiot.
