David Warner has just been released from prison for a crime he swears he didn't commit. All he knows how to do is fight so he becomes a boxer. To help him get back on his feet, his sister lets him stay at her house against the wishes of her shy friend, Jennifer. David must learn how to trust others again and finds that Jennifer has also put up a shield to protect herself. Together they learn to trust each other and reveal personal secrets so they can begin to heal and possibly find love.
