All three begin with the letter "d," all three are animals, and all three have been rescued by a kind-hearted Samaritan who was in the right place at the right time. For more than eighty years, Virginia Larsen has offered relief to creatures in distress - from a mouse in a canal, to a toad in a well, to a kitten in a mailbox. Just as meaningfully, she has experienced a host of "holy moments" with animals everywhere from her Minnesota living room to a porch in Madagascar.
