Are you even listening to me? A question that many may have asked someone before, may even asked it to God. With this book, inspirational liturgical dancer and first time author, Amanda Marshall, shares some of her most intimate life experiences of how she overcame feeling as if no one, not even God Himself was hearing her cries and prayers. She reflected to the old saying, "The teacher is always silent during the test." Through dance, Amanda finds strength to cope with and overcome life experiences such as: low self esteem, fornication, self harm, sickness, rejection, insufficient funds, dropping out of college, fear, loss of loved ones and more. Amanda feels free and restored when expressing her genuine, unique, and passionate form of worship to God by way of movement vocabulary (dance). However, the battles of life are never ending for her beyond her dance garments. But through it all, Amanda finds her way back into her garments to worship the Lord until He moves or speaks; in hopes that her wounds from her past and present every day life situations are healed...... and healed completely.
