As The Earth Consumes
Glen Morgan
After an Ojawwana Indian family is forced from their Canadian Reserve and traveled across the Great Lake Gitchee Gumee, they arrived in the U. P. But a force on their new found land quickly turned against them and the entire family was murdered shortly after their arrival. Their bones are then discovered during initial excavation of a new United States Air Force Base on land sold to the USAF by The Autrain Club, an exclusive members-only Club located in the heart of the U. P. If this discovery stops the completion of the airbase, then Executive Director Bryce T. Roggeman will lose millions of dollars as the result of not being awarded the government contract, the money going to pay off his investors and his own generated financial debt and the monetary issues of the Club. With the setting of how Bryce's early and formidable years molds him into the financial rogue that he becomes, and through his financial fraud and deception, he must now decide how to keep the finding of the bones quiet, all the while being captivated and at times mesmerized by the peoples and cultural traditions of the U. P., Land of the Yoopers. Throughout the novel Glen intermingles stories of fictional U. P. residents, military and government factions, murder and deceit, and romantic suspense that pulls the reader into the story even further. The reader will attempt to conclude how it will end but will be surprised at actually what does happen. The Prologue sets up the premise of the story and the Epilogue brings it to fruition.
