After taking so long to write my first novel, I realised that things had to change. I had to work smarter and over the years I have accumulated an enormous amount of information and learned countless methods to improve and speed up my novel writing. So it occurred to me that I should share this wealth of experience and write a writers resource book. My aim was to save authors of novels and short stories, years learning the tricks of the trade. It was essential for me to create a book that deliberately avoided too much generic information, cliches and general phrases, and that the information I provided was formatted in a simple and logical way, as well as the advice given was practical and easy to understand. I also wanted to create a resource book that would help writers of all abilities, from the first time novel or short story writer, to the more experienced writer.
