After going through a tornado and a hurricane, why would 12-year-old Devon Cullin venture onto The Big Island of Hawaii--just days before his 13th birthday? But venture he does, and meets a family who has lived there for their entire life. Together with Akela and Kahawai, Devon decides to go up onto the volcano and finds himself trapped up there overnight. He goes through one harrowing experience after another, and fears that this will be his final adventure. Will he make it down off the volcano...or is this indeed his final exciting adventure?
