The Lone Swift follows the struggles of Captain Liam Swift a soldier in the special forces. Liam is a strong young captain at the top of his special forces career, yet through the trails of combat, he is overcome by PTSD and blackouts. To make matters worse the only stability in his life; his fiancé Alice left him. Liam cannot find an escape from his trauma. So, he decides to set off to Italy to seek some comfort in the streets that once brought him so much happiness. Liam's solitude is short-lived as his world is turned upside down by a red-haired girl who travels around Italy with him and changes his perspective on life. Liam and Jenny travel from city to city across Italy, facing a different life-threatening challenge as they are hunted down. Could he hold the key to stopping thousand of innocent lives being lost by the very terrorist organisation pursuing them? Liam is constantly conflicted on whether to do the right thing or risk everything and save himself and the woman he loves. He must make this decision before it is too late. Little does Liam know that he cannot outrun his demons forever. Before long, he has to face terrorist threats, near-death experiences and running across Italy from his own special forces team. However, this time, Liam must stay strong as now he is protecting not only himself but the one person who may be able to help him to escape from his nightmares.
