Talia didn't believe in happy endings or most other neatly packaged premises. She longed to know what happened after the credits rolled, and who people were when no one was looking. Her life, however, felt like a series of disjointed steps with no hope of choreography in sight: the scenes kept playing themselves out, but she, the supposed star of her existential show, had long since lost the plot.
