Life can change in the blink of an eye. It certainly did for me when I was struck in the eye with a hockey puck, rupturing the globe and deflating the eyeball, setting to work some of the best eye surgeons in the world on a desperate attempt to restore my vision. The dark journey of recovery was an extreme physical discomfort but the real challenge emerged as a battle of mind and soul that truly blindsided me. Surely this was a time for prayer, but I could not see how prayer would save my eyesight. How much prayer would it take and really what difference would it make? That turned out to be a question for God, with a very simple answer.
