The morning after a raging Phoenix monsoon, Dr. Andy Miller and his dog, Maggie, set off on a hike in the Mountain Preserve. Maggie explores a muddy, debris-littered wad sniffing and searching for a doggy treasure. She returns to Andy proudly carrying an object between her jaws and drops it at Andy's feet, in hope he will toss it for her to retrieve. Instead, Andy examined it--a human mandible. A mandible which will launch a far-reaching investigation into the Mafia, drug cartels, and American politics. Will the case be solved in time to prevent the election of an organized crime powerbroker to the US Senate?
