ROOMING HOUSE BLUES is a darkly comic mystery novel of isolation and murder. It's a study of disconnected people inhabiting Lazy Clare's rooming house where murder can happen and people can harbor secrets that rouse little interest. Unfortunately, Nat Coleman hanging from a weeping willow tree outside Clare's kitchen window upsets Sheriff Tilton, a pacifist by nature, and forces him to scrutinize the darker side of life when really he would rather be in the loving arms of his large, and beautiful wife. Suspects abound, secrets are revealed, and Sheriff Tilton saves face with the help of Billy Lee, a Vietnam vet and sculptor of disturbing, artistic works of iron filling Lazy Clare's back yard.
