It tells the story of a boy named Danny Thomas. Danny has just moved into a new house. One night when he is home alone he hears something in the basement. And when he enters the basement to investigate, he finds a portal to another universe! This book was strongly inspired by Norse mythology but what makes it more fun to read than the Norse myths is that it is told in the form of a quest, not just a story. You may find similar things that relate to Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard by Rick Riordan and while those books were great, this book focuses on the magic and not real-world problems that Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard blends with the magic. My mission for this book and for this trilogy was to try to make a huge setting for the book to take place in. And while that may not sound like much I made sure to fill everything with details. Note: There is a place in the story that I tried to make resemble a neighborhood in the cites. I did not mean anything offensive towards anyone, I just was trying to make a fun story. I'm sorry if it offensive to you I truly am.
