The Wizard of Braylon-Fair
Jim Ranieri
In a world of elves, giants, wizards, dragons and evil King Salunka . . . can finding a blue stone change your life? In Braylon-Fair, a young boy named Etan finds a shiny blue stone that legend says will lead the finder to a blue dragon egg. Believing it has magical powers, Etan uses the stone to heal a sick friend. News of the miracle healing reaches King Salunka, supreme ruler of Braylon. Convinced the boy to be a wizard, the King sends his army to capture Etan . . . but things don't go as planned. Etan's powers alert him of the soldiers' approach, and with the help of his friends, Kiki and Nik, he escapes King Salunka's trap. Fleeing across the continent, he stays one step ahead of the soldiers, Mandos, and wizards sent to capture him. Thinking that he has finally escaped, Etan sees King Salunka on the back of his honey-colored dragon, heading his way! Spells and luck are all Etan has at his disposal. He hardly knows how to use his newfound power, but if he's to survive, he must learn . . . and learn quickly.
