THE CONSORT OF GOL (Fractured Dominion) is a tale about the ordeals and adventures of Nerin Gizem, who is of the race called Altani. Characteristic of her race, Nerin possesses both telepathic and empathic abilities. Her journey encompasses a prison escape, joining the Resistance to overthrow the brutally oppressive rule of the Nemilese Regime, and carrying out a covert assignment as an operative of the Resistance on the outpost of Gol, which is at the farthest reaches of the Empire. Through it all, her "tel-empathic" abilities are exploited by the Nemilese, honed once she has escaped, and then tested many times over, revealing the depths of a single soul in a world of struggling souls.
