Roni Wishbone is waiting for her mother to return home. But when old man McCracken comes to visit, she learns some amazing things she never knew before. Firstly, her house is flying. Secondly, she can perform magic with her pinky finger, called 'Blasm'. Thirdly, she can bring people to life from old photographs. And last, but not least, she has a hidden Red Door which can take her to any place in the world. But none of these things matter to Roni more than finding her mother, and she has a feeling that the strange girl in the mirror knows something about her. Together with Maddie, the girl from a one hundred year old photograph, they venture off to the weird world of Far Land to find Roni's mother at last.
