The White Spirit Stallion is a tale about a "Ghost Horse" that has been seen many times in the Ozark Mountains by young and old alike. His legend has been told for many generations and is still being told today. He has roamed the mountains in and around Lampe, Mo and south into Ark. for hundreds of years "so they say." He seems to always show up when Buddy's "Kentucky Thoroughbred Mares" come into heat. He has been known to steal whole herds of mares and some were never seen again.
