Maddie VanderWald has given up her life on the mainland to claim her late aunt's estate. One day she hopes to develop it into the bed and breakfast inn of her dreams. However, the will specifies that if she doesn't live on the isolated island, her second cousin will get everything and she'll be left in the cold. To make things worse, Maddie accidentally throws out a priceless diamond brooch while sorting her aunts things and must retrieve it from the dump. When someone vandalizes the estate.
