Face of Dreams is the emergent story of adolescent, misplaced values in assessing the meaning of life and the subsequent problems that result in adulthood from living a selfish life of narcissistic dissipation and the satisfaction of self. Brought up in an advantageous, upper middle-class home, Spivey McLendon believes himself entitled to live the good life. However, as time passes he finds himself alienated' as all his friends are getting married, having children, and pursuing lucrative employment. After an emotionally devastating and tragic providential accident, Spivey enters a Christian drug and alcohol rehab facility where the whole direction of his life is recalibrated. Redemption and release from his former self-destructive lifestyle cause him to discover true meaning and eternal life in the face of his new identity.
