Blessed with a happy, carefree childhood, Maria Dellaventura had little idea of the pain and heartache she would one day come to know.

Just ten years after losing her young husband to a serious illness, she was hit head on with the sudden loss of her beautiful, thriving fifteen year old son. Her strong unwavering faith in God was the one thing that truly saved her and enabled her to rise above her worldly circumstances. At the age of fifty, Maria realized she needed to write a book to be able to share her inspiring story with the world.

As a Child of God, and the author of "Life After Loss: Healing Piece by Peace," Maria is deeply passionate about making it easier for others to deal with life after the loss of a loved one. Her goal is to touch and enlighten the hearts of her readers, as she opens their eyes to the undeniable truth that nothing is ever impossible with God.

Maria currently resides in Staten Island, New York, with her two children, Daniel and Christina. She believes that no life is without meaning or purpose. In the midst of adversity, she has allowed the Lord to transform her over and over again. Only through His love and grace has she been able to heal moment by moment and piece by piece.
