The Gramophone sets the tone for the rest of the stories in this collection-stories that tackle issues such as adoption, care for the elderly, the effects of the holocaust on victim and victimizer, the single woman in our society, and family relationships-stories that run the gamut from sharp cautionary tales to joyous vignettes about evenings with good friends. Many of the pieces were published by journals and magazine such as Viewpoints, Room of One's Own, The CVE Reporter, Canadian Forum, Moment, Jewish Currents, Habad online, and the Playwrights Guild of Canada.
