Carson Davis, a disgraced journalist, is bitter about his current assignment: cover all the winter celebrations in a small town that he's never even heard of. It's a punishment, but what's left of his career is dependent on it. Dave Sweet is a widowed single dad of an excitable seven year old girl, and owns the local bakery. Despite holding many painful memories, the small town of Everwinter Valley means everything to him. When he offers to help Carson find his way around, neither are ready for what else they may find together.
