Surfactant aggregations attract researchers over the last few decades due to their immense technological application such as solubilizing agents, nanoreactors, membrane mimiking media, etc. Depending upon the molecular polarity, other physical characteristics of the solvent also affect the aggregation of surfactants. The aggregations of different photosensitive dyes also open a new arena for the joint venture of different scientists. From the traditional photobleaching to self-quenching, various characteristics of dyes are influenced by the self association. This book, therefore, provides a detail aspect of surfactant aggregation including cmc, thermodynamics etc. of dodecyl sulfate and AOT having different counterions as a function of temperature. Micellization characteristics of SDS and AOT in presence of short chain alcohols are also discussed. Self aggregation properties of thiazine dyes in aqueous and microemulsion media are presented in terms of molecular and vibronic exciton models, which may shed light on the understanding of the interested readers of molecular association, dye aggregation, etc. It will also help to understand the molecular geometry of dimers in solution.
