As a reaction to the global financial crisis, the Federal Government has passed two economic stimulus packages to avoid negative impacts on the labour market. The second one focused on the energy-efficient renovation of municipal infrastructure. One quarter of all construction companies could potentially profit by these stimulus packages. But their success is directly related to their size, their age, their references and the degree of their interlinking to architects and engineers. Therefore, newly established companies have little chance to participate in this government support.
