In diesem Artikel beschreibt er ein Szenario der Weltpolitik nach dem Ende des Kalten Krieges. Die Machtbalancen in der Welt haben sich verschoben, nachdem der Kommunismus besiegt ist, droht nun die gelbe und islamistische Gefahr für die westlichen Gesellschaften. Er ist ein renommierter Harvardprofessor, der auch eine zeitlang das amerikanische Außenministerium berät. Seine Thesen finden somit in den USA Gehör und bestimmen zum Teil die Außenpolitik. Der damalige Außenminister von Pakistan Sardar Aseff Ahmad Ali kommentiert den Artikel Huntingtons wie folgt: ?And the thesis of the clash of civilization which is propounded by Harvard Professor Huntington is indeed shocking. It is full of racial undertones. It might easily have been written by Adolf Hitler. I find very little difference between Adolf Hitler "Mein Kampf" and Professor Huntington's thesis of civilizations going to war. He views the world in very myopic and very narrow terms. This is not the way civilizations have evolved or clashed in the past. And why should it happen in the future? He perceives international relations in total racial terms, that the brown man and the yellow man are going to gang up against the white Christian world, against the white man... We are astounded, we are absolutely astounded in this, that the West which stands for values, human values of human equality and justice should now start propagating a thesis which is totally and shamelessly racialist."1 Huntingtons Thesen haben sehr viel Kritik
