It assessed the appraisal method and instrument of performance evaluation employed by the institute and the effect on the staff performance and work-related habits. The book concluded that the appraisal of staff should not be handled with levity and that performance appraisal be a continuous exercise,rather than a "postmortem" exercise which is currently the situation.
