Furthermore the use of diverse coping strategies will be identified with the help of different empirical data, for example the outcomes of the "Kölner Langzeituntersuchung", the "Virginia Longitudinal Study of Divorce and Remarriage" and the "Züricher Adoleszenten-Psychologie- und Psychopathologie-Studie". The varied kinds of coping strategies are discussed. The results indicate that children use different strategies in dependence on their family environment. Afterwards some protective factors for children are presented, e.g. the "Kinderpsychodramagruppe". It becomes apparent that children have to be involved broader in interventions like these in order to enable them to cope the existing problems.
