Ka-band Spot Beam Satellite Communication Network in India: Rain Attenuation Analysis and Fade Mitigation Techniques Jayadev Jena

This book gives an excellent overview on broadband satellite communication network in Ka-Band spectrum. Here the propagation impairments, mainly rain attenuation has been analysed using the most convenient and accurate rain models. Proposals for fade mitigation techniques has been given in the down link with integration of beam diversity technique. Techniques for dynamic power allocation scheme to the beams are also been given which uses the on board available power optimally. Adaptive modulation and coding technique is also analysed which provides better SNR in the down link. Moreover this book gives a better scenario on the Ka-Band satellite communication network using spot beam technology for rain fade mitigation technology.
