Analysis of Production and Marketing of Mandarin Orange in Kaski,nepal: Comparative Analysis of Kristinachnechaur and Nirmalpokhari Vdcs Arun Kafle

Mandarin orange (Citrus reticulata Blanco ) is one of the major income generating high value horticultural crops in the mid-hill areas of Nepal identified by Agriculture Perspective Plan(APP). Farmers are growing this fruit commercially since long time in Kaski district. This study aims to explore comparative analysis of present production situation, marketing and future of mandarin orange in the selected areas. Benefit/cost ratio of mandarin orange was quite high which showed its potentiality as major income generating fruit for the mid-hill farmers. Disease and pest were the major production problems . This study will benefit students,planners ,policy makers and other persons who are involved or willing to involve in the promotion of mandarin orange cultivation.
