Stress is unavoidable phenomena of our modern life. Everyone is facing stress in this age of LPG (liberalization, privatization and globalization). Certain amount of short term stress is good for performance but chronic and several stresses adversely affect individual?s performance and health both. Effect of stress on health is moderated/ mediated by several individual and environmental factors; Affect related ability (emotional intelligence) and traits (Alexithymia, affect intensity, Positive and negative affect) are among them. A comprehensive study of stress and its impact on several measures of health along with moderating / mediating role of affect related ability and traits have been covered in this book. This work is carried out on adult Indian sample with broad range of demographical variables. This book will be a helping hand for reader and stress management practitioners as it is approached with individual?s emotion in stress ?health relationship particularly in Asian context where collectivistic culture is dominant which is different from Western Individualistic culture.
