Bangladesh is the most natural hazard and disaster prone country in the South Asian Countries because of geographical location like at the tropical cyclone and tropical monsoon area. As a result every year natural hazard and disaster like flood, cyclone, tornado, river bank erosion, Drought, Earthquake occur in this country that losses a lot of lives and properties. But most of the losses of lives and properties occur for the lacking of preparedness. This book focuses mainly on the current status of preparedness for natural hazard in Sariakandi Upazilla in Bogra district of Bangladesh. It also discusses existing socio-economic and environmental condition of the victims area and explores the survival strategies of the victims in coping with the precarious condition by riverbank erosion and flood.
