This work was carried out on Hydraulic conductivity and Sorptivity of Soils in the Forest Vegetative Zone of Nigeria. These are two important hydraulic parameters for flow and transport ? related phenomenon in soil. They are useful in irrigation and drainage studies, erosion control, soil water balance and other sub ? soil problems. Also knowledge of these can be used in predicting hydrological processes and managing agricultural practices for the improvement of agricultural productivity and ecosystem sustainability. The objectives of the work are to characterize the hydraulic properties of soils, establish the relationship between the pore structures and hydraulic conductivity of soils in the region and determine the infiltration characteristics of soils and its effects on management practices of agricultural production and ecosystem sustainability. The analysis also offers invaluable information on how to develop the best management practices for the improvement of agricultural productivity and ecosystem sustainability and should be especially useful to Scientists, Land managers, Growers, Soil & Water Engineers and environmentalists.
