The present study deals with preparation and evaluation of zinc pectin microbeads of tinidazole as a colon specific drug delivery system. This type of formulation helps to release the drug in a sustained manner to the colon which can quite effectively control the diseased conditions and provide proper therapeutic efficacy of the drug to the patient.
