Entrepreneurship Development: a Study in an Indian State Archana Mali

The book seeks to explore various aspects of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship development. It makes a detailed review of existing literature on the subject. Growth trend of entrepreneurial activities is found out in terms of permanently registered micro and small enterprises in Assam. Impacts of support organizations and policy measures and programs adopted by the government are also analyzed. Type of entrepreneurial setup, investment, employment generated and sales turnover of the enterprises are examined on the basis of primary data. Challenges faced by entrepreneurs and opportunities available in field of entrepreneurship development are also studied. Projection in respect of output, investment and manpower requirement by the micro and small enterprises in Assam by 2015 is also made. Based on the study, pertinent recommendations have been put forward for effective promotion of entrepreneurial activities. The book presents an excellent exposition on entrepreneurship development.
