Intrusion on their future, in the form of ignorance, superstitions, famine, poverty, rebellions, opium, missionaries, mercenaries, trading with White Devils,floods, corrupt dynasties, and authoritarian governments kept this mysterious culture from awakening. Yet the Chinese were always creative, resilient and proud. The Middle Kingdom, advancing at lightening speed, would strive for a Tomorrow with an honorable legacy for their children.
