Sands of the Brahmaputra River Basin: Identification of Valuable Heavy Minerals (Vhm) in the Sands of the Brahmaputra River Pradip Kumar Biswas

The Brahmaputra river for its nature causes harm to the landforms and the people living within the basin and the adjoining areas. But the water and the sediments carried are considered as sources of miseries but are in fact, valuable resources. The results of studies have indicated that the curses caused by the Brahmaputra River will be transformed into agents of blessings of nature for the people of the area and the country as a whole. For this purpose, a comprehensive study is required to assess the reserve estimation and have to setup a pilot plant before establishing a mine and mineral separation plant on the bank of the Brahmaputra river.
