Rapid evolution of wireless communication standards demands frequent changes and updates in the communication system hardware. Today's global research community is looking for a generic receiver architecture which can accommodate these changes without the need of replacing the existing hardware systems. Software defined radio is a promising solution but can we really make a real communication system which can accommodate all the present and future frequency bands and protocols?
