Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru are considered as two eyes of modern India. Even after getting independence, they have guided the destiny of our country. They fought for freedom and democracy. According to them patriotism and humanity go together. They are true humanists of 20th century. The principles of Nationalism and Internationalism go simultaneously in their attitude. They are considered as statesman. The Indian revolution is unpredictable without Gandhi and Nehru. According to them, politics is not the capture of power but to serve the humanity. The book has been organized in five chapters. The first chapter is about ?The nature and scope of Peace Problems in Ancient India?. The second chapter deals with ?Gandhi?s contribution to Peace. The Third chapter deals with ?The importance of Satyagraha to the development of peace?. ?Jawaharlal Nehru?s contribution to peace? is explained in fourth chapter. The fifth chapter deals with ?The future vision to establish peace?. The status of present peace research in India is also explained. Some suggestions on peace problems in the academic institutions have been mentioned.
