In recent past, higher degree of professionalization in IT has been observed such as ASL, ITIL. However, such professionalization was not observed in the business side. This created unbalance in Business-IT alignment. BiSL ? Business Information Services Library ? was the result of realization of need of such professionalization. It is the framework for Business Information Management (BIM) which has the business perspective of Information Management. BiSL provides practical solutions to business to convey demands to IT. Soon after the introduction of BiSL, cloud computing started getting popularity. Cloud computing tends to leverage control to the business. Rather than depending on the BIM function to convey demands to IT, with cloud computing business can decide for a cloud service and cloud service provider by their own. So there was a fear that BiSL may not provide practical solutions for BIM to deal with cloud computing. This book describe the research that investigates the required changes in the BiSL processes to accommodate cloud computing. Based on the investigation this book shows how BiSL processes can be applied in practice to deal with cloud computing.
