Employment Generation Through Nregs in Chittoor District A. Seshadri

The NREGS is mainly an employment generation scheme. This scheme provides legal guarantee of providing at least 100 days wage employment to rural households whose adult members are willing to do unskilled manual labour. The study suggesting a perspective policy and also attempts to high light the awareness of NREGS workers on NREGS Act, Socio- economic conditions of the NREGS house hold respondents pre and post implementations of the programme of NREGS. In the study area the study also covered various aspects relating to the income and employment generation and asset creation among the sample house holds. The conclusions are drawn and suggestion are made for effective implementation of NREGA. The framing of the work and analyzed it in a perfect manner which will have a practical as per in eradicating poverty and unemployment. In every sense it is for the timely needs.
