The Ethiopic Book of Enoch, since its first translation into Ethiopic (Geez) with the other sacred scriptures, which is believed to be during the early ages of Christianity in the country, has been accepted equally with or even better than the other biblical books. Even when the whole world was in darkness as to the existence of the book for about a millennium, it, not only was safely preserved, but also continued to be read, interpreted and its content exploited by Ethiopian writers.
