Study of Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons (Pahs) in Jordanian Oil Shale Marwa Alawi

Oil shale is formed in the earth during a long period of time from the rests of plants and animals. Oil shale contains naturally most of the poly-aromatic hydrocarbon compounds. Most of these compounds are potential carcinogens and therefore environmental pollutants. This book deals with these compounds in the oil shale from the major deposits in Jordan, where also the cancer risk assessment was done.
