Slow-Release Fertilizer (SRF) is an improved variety of fertilizer which is developed through appropriate product design. It is unique by its chemical & physical properties, environmental safety & its stability against mechanical stress, hygrometry & temperature. It can be applied less frequently, making them more cost-effective and save time & labor. Hence, the necessity for SRFs with the release of nutrients over extended period of time is increasing continuously with population growth, particularly in developing countries.
