Whistle blowing, on good faith is such an act of bravery, which cannot be spoken of without uttering breathless superlatives. In this piece of work, an attempt has been made to bring out the challenges and hardships of blowing the whistle that include the driving force motivating an employee to speak of the wrong doings in an organization, situations faced while reporting up or out, and most importantly, testing the ?intent? of the whistleblower. With this introduction, the study delves into the analysis of the extent to which whistleblowers are protected in United States of America today, covering three major legislations of the country. It is imperative not to overlook the role of a lawyer as a whistleblower. Every organization has a legal unit to deal with the internal compliance issues which means the legal cell has a pro-active and responsible role to protect its reputation and best interests. I have thus set forth the intricacies of whistle blowing by an attorney. Overall, this book is an attempt to mirror the complexities in the life of whistleblowers and what can be done to make this world dauntless and a better place to live in for them.
