Formulation and Development of Dispersible Tablet and Dry Syrup: a Taste Masking Approach for Bitter Taste of Drugs Indrayani Raut

The Cefetamet Pivoxil Hydrochloride is a highly Bitter Drug which is available as Tablet formulation in the Indian market. A successful approach is made to develop the Dispersible Tablet and Dry Syrup formulation in which the Bitter taste of Cefetamet Pivoxil Hydrochloride is masked. The Dispersible Tablet and Dry Syrup are useful for the Geriatric and Pediatric who are unable to take the dose in Tablet formulation. The Taste masked Cefetamet Pivoxil Hydrochloride Tablet and Dry syrup is not available in the National market. The process developed is such that the formulation can be manufactured at shop floor in the Industry.
