URBAN DESIGN : It is a book on designing and maintaining cities by the Urban Designers, who are taught not to plan the 'fixed life span' cities, but a city that would continue changing and changing for all time to come for ensuring the welfare of the city dwellers. Men spend fifty percent of life in their houses and twenty percent in their places of study or work. The remaining thirty percent they quite consciously "in the cities" when they enjoy or curse the city father for their activities. The city fathers may have the sincerity for men's welfare, but they are helpless without the help of the urban designers. We want Urban Designers who can be of help to the city fathers.
