A study was conducted among fifth grade students in south Louisiana to determine the effectiveness of implementing Environmental Education in order to promote eco-friendly behaviors. The Environmental Education was an informal approach and involved a school vegetable garden and teacher-created lessons. The results of the three-month study showed improvements in the environmental knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of the participants.
